Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of RealTradeGuard, including our website at realtradeguard.co.uk and our newsletter. By using our service, you agree to these Terms.
The short version: Our newsletter explains UK construction rules in plain English. We're not your accountant or your lawyer. Don't make important decisions based solely on what we say. If you've got a serious problem, talk to a qualified professional.
1. Who we are
RealTradeGuard is operated by Viktorija Skobej, trading as RealTradeGuard, an individual sole trader based in Northampton, United Kingdom.
Northampton, United Kingdom
2. About our service
RealTradeGuard provides:
- A free weekly newsletter covering UK construction industry compliance topics (CIS, HMRC, HSE updates) in plain English
- A paid subscription tier (when available) including additional resources such as templates, deadline reminders, and a searchable archive
- Educational content on our website
What we are NOT:
We are not accountants. We are not solicitors. We are not tax advisors. We do not provide professional financial, legal, or tax advice. Our content is for general information only and should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional advice tailored to your specific situation.
3. Eligibility
To use our service, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- Provide accurate information when subscribing
Our content is intended for users in the United Kingdom. If you're using it from outside the UK, please note that the information may not apply to your jurisdiction.
4. Subscriptions
Free subscription
Subscribing to the free newsletter is, well, free. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in any email — it takes one click. We'll remove you from the active mailing list within 7 days.
Paid subscription
Our paid subscription tier costs £12 per month, billed monthly via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us (through Stripe) to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
You can cancel your paid subscription at any time. After cancellation:
- You will not be charged again
- You'll retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period
- You'll automatically revert to the free newsletter (if you wish to remain subscribed)
5. Refunds and cancellations
Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have a 14-day right to cancel any new paid subscription and receive a full refund, unless you've started using the service during that period.
To request a refund, email us at contact@realtradeguard.co.uk within 14 days of your initial subscription. We'll process refunds within 14 days of approval.
After the 14-day cooling-off period, paid subscriptions are non-refundable, but you can cancel future billing at any time.
